Daquiry will pass on the leopard gene 100% of the time, regardless of stallion color.

Daquiry is a Danish registered Knabstrupper that was inspected by the KNN in 2012 as a yearling. Despite being excused from the movement portion of the inspection due to a broken shoulder, she still managed to achieve an overall score of 8 and was the Youngstock Filly champion. Daquiry's bloodlines include KOBOLD, THUNDER and APOLLON.

Sired by TOPAS VON KOBOLD. He was recognized with ZfDP and also Equus International, where he was the winner, and was entered into the stallion book 1. His sire, THUNDERMAN, is a premium stallion and a grading winner in Germany. Thunderman’s sire, THUNDER KING OF MOUNTAIN, a black leopard Knabstrupper, is approved in the Stallion Book I of the ZfDP. And he in turn, is sired by THUNDER CLOUD.

His dam, the Knabstrupper RONJA, is a very successful and proven breeding mare that has produced two other licensed sons, including that of Nobody's Harlequin. She is by TYFON and RASMUS AF DAMGARD.

Topas is line bred to KLAUS, HUGIN and SILVERKING. He is purebred Knabstrupper to the 3rd generation.

Daquiri's damsire, AMOR VON KOBOLD, a German bred Knabstrupper trained up to class L in dressage as well as jumping, and has won multiple awards as well as approval with a variety of German associations, including Equus International and ZfDP.  He has produced premium foals at various associations, as well as championship foals, licensed sons, and elite mares.

Amor's sire, none other than the late great, VPrH APOLLON, whom after passing his grading in Denmark, was originally used at stud there. After winning his stallion testing at Vilhelmsborg in 1989, this stallion combined stud duties with a highly successful competition career, winning not only Dressage and Showjumping to M level, but also M Eventing.

Because of his quality as stallion he was awarded the Gold Medal as best Knabstrupper stallion at the 1990 Danish Agriculture Fair (equivalent with the German DLG), a rare and distinguished achievement for any horse, let alone a spotted one.

In 1995 Apollon appeared on the German Scene and promptly won Premium graded status at the ZfDP grading in Lentföhrden.
Just a glance at his pedigree shows that his ability and versatility haven't happened by accident. His sire ZORRO is a Knabstrupper of the modern Sporthorse type and himself a descendant of the famous Arab stallion POMERANETS OX, who also sired the stallion Hockey II (sire of the international star Showjumper Almox Prints J).

Apollon's dam SYMFONI is superbly bred Trakehner mare by DONAUSCHIMMER, combining such illustrious lines as ABGLANZ and POET XX. A couple of generations back we find the highly rated GUNNAR and the great grandmother SONETT, who produced the famous Trakehner Hessenstein and via him influenced an entire generation of horses.

APOLLON himself has already sired nine graded stallions and further proved his importance as a sire with several of his state-premium daughters who have gone on to produce their own licensed sons.

Purchased in 2016, Daquiry's bloodlines are relatively rare here in North America and combined with her homozygous color, we look forward to presenting her to the KNN for approval in the Fall and seeing what this lovely mare will produce for our breeding program.

Daquiry is guaranteed to pass on the leopard gene 100% of the time, regardless of stallion color.
